MKREIS: INVITATION: Conference "Quantum Technology", July 05, 2018 in Munich

Sehr geehrter Herr Soundso,

Quantum technology forms the physical and technological basis for the development of quantum computers, quantum sensors, quantum cryptography and communication. These technologies can be seen as a disruption to a variety of existing technologies. Thus, quantum computers promise a multitude of new possibilities for solving computing-intensive or previously not efficiently solvable problems. This poses a new challenge for many companies. In the conference

„Quantum Technology – Impact on Computing and Communication" on

Thursday, the 5th of July 2018, 9:00 to 18:00

at the IBM Watson IoT Center, Mies-van-der-Rohe-Straße 6, 80807 München

the MÜNCHNER KREIS picks up on this cross-sectional relevant topic. With expert contributions and well-founded critical discussions against the backdrop of different perspectives, the conference highlights the disruptive potential of quantum technologies. After a technological introduction, topics such as the development of the quantum internet and the plethora of application fields of quantum communication will be illustrated. Concrete approaches to the development of quantum technologies from different companies or research institutions (e.g., IBM, Fujitsu, d-wave) and examples from the security, automotive, IoT (industrial) and healthcare industries show potential applications.

The perspectives of theoretical computer science, cryptography and data security are also incorporated into the conference in order to be able to discuss the future opportunities, challenges and risk of quantum computing in a sound, critical and holistic manner.

We invite you to join this conference and kindly ask you to register directly under www.muenchner-kreis.de. The program is enclosed. Please feel free to forward this invitation to other people interested.

We look forward to exciting discussions and are available for questions!

Best regards
